The customer-service / support inbox is often the most authentic and detailed feedback source (users attach screenshots and describe how to reproduce). Loopback supports two ways to connect it.
Option 1: One-click Gmail authorization
Click one-click Gmail OAuth and grant read-only permission to connect. It's the least hassle, and it's the recommended way for Gmail / Google Workspace mailboxes.
Option 2: IMAP (authorization code)
Supports QQ Mail, NetEase 163 / 126, Feishu Mail, Tencent Enterprise Mail, Alibaba Enterprise Mail, iCloud, Yahoo, and more.
The key point: the IMAP method requires generating an "authorization code / app-specific password" in your mailbox settings (not your login password). When you add the channel, each mailbox has its own step-by-step guide to obtaining it — just follow along.
Note: personal Outlook / Hotmail doesn't support the IMAP password method, so it can't be connected this way for now.
Your own system: push via Webhook
If your feedback comes from your own system (like an in-app feedback form or internal tickets), you can use a generic Webhook to push feedback to Loopback, with no email relay needed.
After connecting
Email feedback flows into the same inbox as store reviews and community feedback, all classified by AI, prioritized, and clustered into issues alike. For emails that need a reply, AI can draft one in the user's language — and sending always requires your human confirmation first.
What to do when a connection fails
The common causes are an expired authorization code or insufficient permissions. The Channels page shows that channel's health status and most recent error; after updating your credentials, open the channel from the Channels page to reconfigure it.
